Planting Part Two

Today we planted our tomato plant and put lots of fertilizer on the things we planted last week. We put coffee grinds and eggshells in the soil to help the tomato plant grow. We also put lots of compost on our potatoes and made sure the weeds were pulled!

Time to Start Planting

Today it was cold but no more rain. We were able to plant our onions, carrots, potatoes, broccoli and cabbage today. We did a lot of digging and put rock phosphate in the holes to help the plants grow.

Getting Started (and wet)

Today was our first day at the garden and it was a really rainy day. We didn't do any planting today because of the rain. We did talk about what we are going to plant and found out who our section partners are. We are in Section 1, Plot 2 and we are going to plant potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, onions, broccoli, cabbage, peas, and squash. Next week we start planting!
